Gaming frowned upon as a career?
Irrefutable
Remember when you used to dream about getting paid to game,(no we aren't talking about testing games because that shit sucks) about playing Unreal Tournament and Counterstrike as a career? Pro gaming has been around quite a while, but with the power of streaming and the internet, it's become a reality for more than a lucky few. This year has seen the largest growth in esports ever and it's likely not stopping. Starcraft II, League of Legends, Halo, Street Fighter and the list goes on for largely popular titles in pro gaming. This year MLG had stream views of 100,000 or more on several occasions and thousands more there in person. Despite this explosion in gaming careers, is it still widely accepted as job or a valid dream to chase? Gaming has become more acceptable the past decade, but to those outside of the community, is gaming seriously and aiming to be a pro frowned upon? Listen I know gaming is the truth, you the readers know it as well, but can the others be convinced this is a true passion to people young and old? Let's put the facts out there first shall we?
