Darkstalkers 4 in development?

There's been some rumors that Darkstalkers 4 has been development for over a year now and will ramp up with SFxT hitting the shelves soon. While some characters have made their way into VS. series in recent years, I think people are ready for a new installment. Darkstalkers had sported some of the most unique characters in Capcom fighters similar to the cast of 3rd Strike. The recent revival of Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers) in the Cincinnati scene has shown interest is still there and the possible development of a new Darkstalkers was hinted at last year by Ono at San Diego's Comic-Con. Sources say a modified version of the SFxT engine is being used and is based off of the SF4 mechanics. I think the hand drawn feel of 2D sprites in a Blazblue or King of Fighters suits the Darkstalkers series far better than recent the art style of SF4. Hopefully Capcom manages to put a big enough spin on the mechanics of the game as well but only time will tell. We will wait and see if announcement pops up at GDC or E3 this year.
